Wheelchair Relay Event Video Showcasing Ability and Determination
As we developed Spinal Cord Injury Ontario’s Wheelchair Relay Challenge website, we had an idea to produce and embed a video that would enhance the user experience, create excitement, and generate interest in the event.
To achieve this, we aimed to capture and create the spirit of competition and the desire for “bragging rights” to the trophy, all while raising funds for the organization’s mission. We retrieved older video footage from previous events archives, especially those used for promotion on television. We repurposed this footage by injecting new life into it, editing it in a modern, exciting, and powerful way.
To further elevate the video, we composed a score that gave it an “epic” soundtrack feel, generating an additional layer of excitement.
We also created an in-your-face 3D animation of the organization’s logo, signifying our march into the future. This animation breathed life into the soundtrack, creating a symbiotic relationship of expression.
As a result, we witnessed a huge turnout of competitors and fundraisers on the day of the event. The organization raised over $150,000.00, which was a significant increase over the previous year.
