Swan Wedding’s Website
The client’s original website was only suited for a desktop/laptop layout, and contained flash elements. It was also a challenge updating the website as well. After a few hours of consultation, we took all the resources (photos, some of the copy) from the website and reworked these elements. The next step was coming up with a mobile-friendly, responsive template. We took a basic theme and reworked it until it was completely mobile friendly. There were some challenges with the slider, but we managed to solve it’s width-responsiveness.
We also reworked the colour scheme and also the logo’s placement within the layout. A new gallery plugin was added and modified, which is much more manageable and can be easily updated. A testimonial section was also added as well. Image headers were also added to add more life to the design and theme of the website’s motif and revamped branding. Finally, we made sure to test the website on mobile devices – both on tablets and smartphones, to ensure that they can be viewed whenever a prospective client needs to get more information on their phone, while browsing through a wedding show.
“That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex; you have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple.”
“I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next.”
